The card for today’s third installment of the “Leonis” mini-brand that emphasizes mostly young talent and undercarders wasn’t announced until each wrestlers’ entrance music hit. So it was a big surprise when the full house of 223 fans in Sapporo for the first “Leonis” show outside of Osaka was treated to quite a main event - the IWGP Heavyweight Champion & IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion vs. the IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions. The result of the match showed just how two lower ranked wrestlers can beat higher ranked wrestlers if they function better as a tag team, as Apollo 55 defeated the openweight team of Tanahashi & Tiger Mask when Taguchi rolled up Tiger for the big win. The four men shook hands and hugged after the match before calling young lions Okada and Yoshihashi into the ring to do the Funky Dance~! with Taguchi and Devitt. Tanahashi then finished the show with his catchphrase and the show ended with “Tanahashi” chants.

Val Venis & Karl Anderson beat Hirooki Goto & Kazuchika Okada (12:41) when Venis used the Money Shot on Okada. 4. Shinsuke Nakamura beat Mitsuhide Hirasawa (7:59) with a knee kick. 5. Ryusuke Taguchi & Prince Devitt beat Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tiger Mask (15:25) when Taguchi used an inside cradle on Tiger.
