| - Spoiler:
Today was a big day at Korkauen Hall for All Japan. Not only did the Junior League start, but today saw the retirement of one of All Japan’s key players since the 2000 split retire.
Nobutaka Araya called it quits, but not before leaving with a big bang! Prior to his retirement match, Araya made 4,993 unsuccessful attempts at his corner charge towards his foolish brother Kikutaro, however, today on the 5,000th try, Araya was successful, and also used an inside cradle on Masanobu Fuchi to win the bout! There was a nice farewell ceremony for Araya who parted by saying he wanted to continue doing his best for All Japan even out of the ring, and would always live All Japan before bidding a fond farewell, forever. On behalf of the readers I’d just like to say thank you Araya for the memories.
Minoru Suzuki had some harsh words for Masakatsu Funaki towards their tag match on 8/30, daring him not to resign once he gets in the ring with Suzuki, and stated that he knew he would be impressed by his senior.
During the GURENTAI/Suwama & Kono tag, there was a big brawl between Takayama and Suwama, as the two battled through the crowd and spilled into the concession stand! After the match, Takayama stated that he had begun to destroy the “Destruction” leader, and would finish him off in Sumo Hall!
A stunning revelation came from Satoshi Kojima today, as he stated that he wants to wrestle NOAH’s Kenta Kobashi in a singles match at the 8/30 Sumo Hall event! Kojima stated that his match against Mitsuharu Misawa five years ago was life changing, and wants to throw his power now against Kenta Kobashi, and would appeal for it to happen.
