Ten years ago to the day at Korakuen Hall, on the eve of a Tokyo Dome show topped by Naoya Ogawa beating Shinya Hashimoto, young lions Hiroshi Tanahashi, Katsuyori Shibata, and Wataru Inoue debuted. Tanahashi fell to future main event rival Togi Makabe, while Inoue forced Shibata to submit to an armlock. Ten years later, Wataru Inoue today celebrated his anniversary with a main event spot, teaming with new tag partner Nagata against CHAOS’ Nakamura & Ishii. Unfortunately for him, the runaway momentum of Nakamura continued as the IWGP Heavyweight Champion sunk Wataru with the Boma Ye for the win. Wataru’s generation friend Tanahashi was also on hand and greeted the fans but wasn’t able to wrestle on his own tenth anniversary due to his injury.



Togi Makabe’s feud with CHAOS rages on but Nakamura is no longer his main problem. CHAOS assassin Takashi Iizuka has begun feuding with Makabe and destroyed Makabe after a tag match today with his chain, forcing the G1 Climax winner to be stretchered out.
